The Dallas Cowboys may finally be on their way to a Super Bowl after 26 years of title drought. Dak Prescott is leading his Dallas offense better than most quarterbacks in the league. And with a dynamic defense to complement his efforts, Dak doesn’t need the distractions of Dallas owner Jerry Jones. However, Prescott finally addressed the entire LeBron James-Jerry Jones situation. And he had quite a lot to say.

Jones was pictured in a protest against black students from 1957 in his Arkansas high school. That picture recently went viral after a Washington Post coverage. NBA legend LeBron James took his shot against Jones. He asked the media why they didn’t maintain the same intensity of questioning for Jones as they did with his former Cleveland teammate Kyrie Irving.

Both the NFL and NBA worlds were waiting for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to share his take on the entire subject. Especially because of his biracial background. And Dak did. Looks like Dak chose the righteous middle ground when it came to the touchy racial subject of the entire Jerry Jones desegregation controversy. He said, “that’s on Jerry to address.” However, he definitely didn’t want to throw Jerry Jones under the bus.

Dak Prescott didn’t show LBJ the same support that Stephen A. did

Prescott understood Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ place and predicament in the unfortunate photo in question. Jerry Jones was only 15 years old and a curious teenager, as described by the billionaire owner. And it wasn’t clear if Dak saw the truth in that or if he simply didn’t want to create any internal conflicts for the Cowboys. “In the same sense, it’s 65 years ago and how times have changed,” Prescott added. “I mean, look at the man’s resume since then, right?”

I was wondering why I didn’t get a question from you guys about the Jerry Jones photo,” LeBron had said in a recent press conference. This awakened a controversy that Jerry Jones thought he already put to bed. ESPN analyst and broadcaster Stephen A. Smith took a clear side in the entire matter and said, “I can’t applaud LeBron enough for what he said,” veteran announcer said. However, Dak Prescott played it extremely safe and didn’t follow Smith’s suit.

The sooner the controversies end, the better for Dak Prescott, Jerry Jones and the entire Dallas Cowboys organisation. Dak and Co will put this behind them as they get ready to face Jeff Saturday’s Indianapolis Colts next Sunday.
