Odell Beckham Jr. is perhaps the most sought-after player on the free agent market. While certain teams are vying for the wide receiver’s attention, the Dallas Cowboys have been making a lot of noise about a potential signing.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and players including Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot,t and Micah Parsons have all expressed interest, even going the extra mile to call out OBJ on Twitter.

For a team who has expressed interest multiple times in signing the veteran wide receiver, if the deal does not go through, Cowboys fans will truly be disappointed. Many have already made it known that discussions without any action are not a good indication.

A writer for the Cowboys, clarence Hill Jr. tweeted a statement Jones made about CeeDee Lamb and OBJ.

The tweet read, “Jerry Jones said CeeDee Lamb had his best game a [sic] Cowboys player despite not being in the right position on the interception. He said the Cowboys still want to add Odell Beckham to improve wr corps”

CeeDee Lamb himself is not intimidated by the idea of having OBJ on board, stating why someone wouldn’t want to add more power to their offense.

The Cowboys have to make smart choices

Currently, OBJ is one of the only free agents who could be a deciding factor in a team’s potential playoff bid. In the area of defense, the Cowboys have been doing an excellent job. With the addition of big guns like OBJ to their offense, Dallas could potentially stand a chance to emerge on top of the NFC East. They currently stand behind the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.

After their 31-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Cowboys are currently at 6-3. They will hope to improve their record with a win against the Minnesota Vikings in their next game.
