The NFL Sunday will witness a nail-biting face-off between the top-scoring teams of the last season. When Tom Brady-led Buccaneers will meet Dak Prescott-led Cowboys in a packed stadium, the game is going to be fun. Especially when Jerry Jones has recently heaped praises for his quarterback by drawing comparisons with Tom Brady in the first place.

Jerry Jones never fails to make headlines, and ever since he got Prescott as a starter, his confidence is at another level. For the Buccaneers quarterback, the upcoming campaign is probably his last season in the NFL.

As a result, he will try to wind up on a high note. However, Prescott wants to make an impact for one last time because their record against Brady is very poor. Every time they faced him, the Cowboys tasted defeat, precisely six times.

However, Jones made a pretty bold statement ahead of Sunday’s game. While speaking in an interview with 105.3 The Fan, Jones said that Prescott resembles Brady in many aspects and continues to evolve for that “elite” tag with his name.

“There’s a lot of me that sees the excellence Tom Brady is about, how much he focuses on the nuances of the game, I see those characteristics in Dak,” Jones said on the show. “And I see the improvement. We just want to be a part of the story of Dak Prescott as he evolves. And if he can get to that success level, then that word elite is going to start showing up,” he added to his explanation.

Well, this was not the first time Jones made such a statement. Three years ago, he said exactly the same, and all that happened was Brady won his seventh Super Bowl title. While Prescott lost the divisional round game against the Niners in 2021.

Dak Prescott vows to prove everyone wrong

If not this season, the Cowboys passer won’t be able to seek his revenge against Brady. While there have been so many narratives floating around questioning his abilities, the 29-year-old reiterates that he will come stronger this time.

“It’s truly a privilege to be the quarterback of this team. To be a leader of these guys, offense, defense, this coaching staff that we have.” Prescott said. “And yeah, especially with everything being said about us. Do you know what I mean? The lack of what we have. Keep writing, keep talking. We’re ready to go play.” He added.
