Being a quarterback comes with a certain sense of responsibility and leadership. Athletes like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers have set a benchmark for being the best QB. However, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones doesn’t look up to these athletes as much and has his own opinions, which might seem outlandish to a lot of people.

The owner of the richest NFL team said something that got the attention of the NFL community and not for the better. Fox’s Undisputed Host Richard Sherman recently brought the Cowboys owners’ opinions to light and got the fans talking. Sherman doesn’t really agree with Jones’ opinion and he’s not afraid to say what he wants to.

A snippet of Undisputed recently appeared on X (Formerly Twitter) which quickly became a point of controversy among the fans. The video is about how Jerry Jones thinks Dak Prescott is the best leader in the NFL. Of course, this did not sit well with the host of the show, Richard Sherman. He questions Jones’ opinion because he has been a part of the NFL for so long.

Richard expressed his opinion about Jones and stated that although Dak Prescott is an exceptional football player and great human being, he wouldn’t rank him alongside Brady, Manning, or Rodgers. He suggested that Jerry Jones might have overlooked the performances of these legends when they played against the Cowboys. The host also acknowledged that Prescott was building himself up as a quarterback and boosting his team’s confidence, but he disagreed with Jones’s assessment.

Dak Prescott vs. the legends

It would be too naïve to compare Dak Prescott with the likes of Brady, Manning, or Rodgers. The obvious reason behind this would be his tenure in the NFL. The legends have played nearly 20 seasons each. They are responsible for bringing multiple Super Bowl Championships home. Manning and Brady have been inducted as Hall of Famers. On the other hand, Prescott has yet to do all of that.

The recent Cowboys Vs. Giants game was a breeze for the Cowboys. A 40-nil win is not something that comes by easily. It is safe to say that Prescott is a good leader. There is not a shred of doubt about Prescott’s determination and his skills as a leader, however, it would be too early to compare him with the legends of the game.
