This past Sunday, Odell Beckham Jr. found himself in the middle of controversy. While the wide receiver had to get off a flight from Miami. He generated headlines for all the wrong reasons. According to a statement by Miami police, the star was not compliant with the safety protocols. Hence, forcing the crew to remove Beckham from the plane. However, it is still unclear how the incident would affect the free agent and his chances of joining another tea. Although, one of the organizations interested does not seem to be deterred even in the slightest.
The Dallas Cowboys are carrying a lot of interest for the wideout. Owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, has often spoken publicly about his pursuit to get the player. Recently, the billionaire appeared on the 105.3 The Fan. There, he answered whether the incident on the plane has changed anything in the organizations’s thinking. But the 80-year-old assured that it had no significance when it comes to the interest from the team. “His overall team compatibility, his judgment, behavior is not an issue with him. It is with many but not with him.” Added Jones.

Jones also continued to call Beckham very genuine and highly competitive following their recent crustations. “I think he breeds confidence. Very, very compatible. We think he can fit in really good with us.” explained the 80-year-old.

The Cowboys are not alone in their pursuit of the star. The Bills and Giants are both in pursuit of the wide receiver as well. While the 30-year-old will begin his trip to these destinations. Jerry Jones is not afraid that Dallas will be the last stop. According to the shrewd businessman, he is not worried about his chances at all.
The Cowboys‘ GM spelled the appeal of the Texas-based outfit. “I know what the Dallas area is. I know what football means to this area.” Jones continued. “Everybody likes to be a part of something that’s substantive, and that’s the Cowboys.”

However, the obstacle to the OBJ decision remains to be the health concerns over the WR. The former Super Bowl winner has not played since the big game. And Jones has made it clear that he would require any acquisition to contribute immediately.
