The Denver Broncos get a boost. The Broncos are set to receive a much-needed boost with the return of wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. After days of speculation, the Broncos have received some welcome news ahead of their upcoming clash with the Commanders. The fourth-year player is poised to make his season debut against Washington after being sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Jeudy’s absence was felt in last week’s game. However, there is a silver lining as he gradually regained his form throughout the week. He started as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice but made significant progress, ultimately becoming a full participant on Thursday and Friday.

This development comes as a sigh of relief for the Denver Broncos offense, particularly their beleaguered wide receiver corps. Jeudy had initially received a questionable designation before the Broncos’ season opener, a game they lost to the Las Vegas Raiders. Fortunately, Friday’s injury report did not list Jeudy as doubtful, signaling his availability for the upcoming game.

Head Coach Sean Payton also reassured fans, confirming that Jeudy’s hamstring would not limit the number of snaps he plays on Sunday. “He’s healthy. He’s good,” Payton emphasized.

In the 2022 season, Jeudy was quarterback Russell Wilson‘s favorite target, leading the team with 67 catches, 972 yards, and six touchdowns. His return is undoubtedly a cause for celebration among Broncos fans and teammates alike.

Jerry Jeudy himself expressed his readiness to return, saying, “I feel I could have went,” during Wednesday’s interview. With the loss of Tim Patrick and KJ Hamler during the offseason, the offense is eager to welcome Jeudy back.

Broncos’ defensive woes continue

According to a report on the Broncos website dated September 15, the team has ruled out outside linebacker Frank Clark (hip) and tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring) for the upcoming Sunday matchup against the Washington Commanders. Clark’s limited practice on Wednesday did not result in his availability, and Dulcich missed all three practice sessions.

On a positive note, cornerback Riley Moss (abdomen) and defensive tackle D.J. Jones (knee) have been full participants in practice for two consecutive days and have not been assigned any game statuses.

As the Broncos move forward, they face a challenging season with three losses and only one victory, including preseason games. While they enjoyed a significant victory in their final preseason game against the Rams with a score of 41-0, their regular NFL season opener saw them narrowly beaten by the Raiders. The Commanders will be their next opponents, and they are looking to bounce back in front of their home crowd at Empower Field at Mile High on Sun 9/17.
