NFL franchise Philadelphia Eagles recently made their center Jason Kelce the highest-paid center in the league. The veteran center was once considering retirement according to recent reports. But it now seems to have been only speculation, as he signed a new $14 million contract. On Thursday, the announcement was made by The NFL Network that stated Kelce would be returning to play in his 12th NFL season.

Kelce’s contract seems to have been structured as a one-year deal but with money spread over multiple years for cap purposes. The new contract has some similarities to the $9 million deal he signed with the team last year.

The organization seems to be doing everything in its power as even coach Nick Sirianni reportedly sent him a keg of beer to butter him up.

Even the 5-time Pro Bowler posted a video on social media on Thursday announcing his intention to stay. In the clip, Kelce takes a long swig from a beer poured out of that keg and states that he’s having “way too much fun” to walk away. He will be a player that Eagles fans would be glad to see coming back in the upcoming season.
