Jameis Winston suffered a brutal ACL injury last season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 of last season. Since then he has been rehabbing and working hard every day to get fit for the upcoming season.
He has been seen training with the team in OTAs, and his fans were excited about his return. However, that might not be the case anymore. According to a source Jameis Winston has been playing through a limp. This is a concern for the franchise and Jameis himself, as it indicates that he hasn’t recovered 100% from his injury.

The Saints have massively improved their roster in the offseason. They’ll need Jameis Winston back healthy, as they are more than capable of making it to the playoffs. Even though their division is no cake-walk, the Saints still have a good chance of winning it.
If Winston doesn’t get healthy by Week 1, the franchise might look to trade for someone. It’s mainly because they wouldn’t want to blow their chance of achieving success this season.
How far can the Saints go if Jameis Winston is healthy?
The New Orleans Saints are part of the NFC South. Their division rivals are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers. As presently constructed, the Saints’ main opponents are the Buccaneers. The Falcons and the Panthers are currently getting their things together on various fronts. As a result, they are unlikely to contend for a playoff spot this year.
The Saints have usually got the better of the Bucs for the last two years in the regular season. With the Buccaneers not being as strong as they were in the past two seasons, there is a high possibility that the Saints can take them out and win the division. However, that largely depends on the health of Jameis Winston.

If he is fit throughout the season, the Saints can even reach the Super Bowl. They have improved their team significantly. The inclusion of Jarvis Landry and Tyrann Mathieu will provide experience on both ends of the field. Their rookie WR Chris Olave is being considered one of the best prospects in this year’s draft.

As a result, their team is stacked. If Winston can perform well this season while being healthy, this team can certainly make some noise like the Bengals did last year.
