Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has big ambitions as he gets ready for the 2022 NFL campaign. The wideout is coming on the back of his special rookie season with QB Joe Burrow. Chase’s season was touted to arguably be the greatest receiving season in his position in 2021.

During his appearance on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, Chase did join the crew with Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle. While discussing his ambitions in 2022, he states, “My biggest goal probably gonna be not just yet but going forward probably the triple crown. I am saying because I can’t probably top the things that I did. So triple crown is what it gonna have to be. I ain’t really even going to tell you all that cause now.”
While these goals are lofty standards for the young Bengals WR, he seems up for the fight. Chase will become the 4th player to achieve this feat and something only 3 other players have managed since the AFL-NFL merger. The triple crown honor is reserved for the players who lead the league in receptions, yards, and touchdown catches.
Ja’Marr Chase has supreme confidence in himself
The Bengals wideout did make his first Super Bowl appearance in his first NFL campaign but fell short of capping a brilliant season. The former LSU wideout did take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor. They did capture the AFC Championship last season. It seems to have framed Chase’s mentality to challenge himself to new heights in the upcoming season.
He played in 17 games and recorded 81 receptions for 1,455 yards, resulting in 13 touchdowns. But the challenge would be a bit of a tall order against wideouts like Cooper Kupp, Davante Adams, and Chris Godwin as his competition.
He appears fearless to go to the next level quite quickly in his young NFL career.
