The Arizona Cardinals‘ AJ Green recently announced his retirement from Pro Football. The Cardinals paid their tribute to the wide receiver through a tweet. “Thank You A.J.,” the Cardinals tweeted with a graphic featuring Green.

Moments after his retirement, the NFL world reminded Green of a brawl he was involved in five years ago. During that time, he was part of the Cincinnati Bengals. Here is the video.

The brawl happened in the week nine clash between the Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017. Green, who was then a Bengals player, threw some punches at the then-Jaguars CB Ramsey. The fight soon turned into a brawl. The officials ejected both the players just before half-time, and the Jaguars won 23-7 and the NFL fined Green $42,000 for the encounter.

A stellar career

No doubt that many fans remember AJ Green because of the 2017 brawl. But all in all, he had a stellar 12 season career in the NFL. The Bengals picked him fourth overall in the 2011 NFL draft. And the WR went on to stay there for a decade, posting six 1000+ yard years. He then moved to the Cardinals in the 2021 season and played there for two years.
