The NFL quarterback carousel is in full swing and caught in the thick of it is Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Texans QB has made it evident that he wants to move on from the NFL’s youngest franchise.

But the stumbling block in the way is the Texans organization itself. New GM Nick Caserio made it clear that the Texans are not letting go of Watson as they undergo a full-fledged revamp.

Watson, according to sources, remains firm regarding his decision to play for a new team in 2021. And one such source is none other than LA Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

During a segment of the Huddle and Flow podcast, Ramsey said that he believes Watson will never put on a Texans uniform again.

The quarterback has the option to sit out the 2021 season if not traded, and it could be a step that Deshaun Watson would be willing to take to push through a trade.

“Extremely serious, he’s extremely serious,” Ramsey said regarding Watson’s trade wish. “I highly doubt he’ll ever suit up in a Texans uniform again.

“He’s very serious. I will say he’s very serious. This is his legacy here, I mean, he should be serious,” he added.

What’s important to note is that Ramsey shares the same agent with Watson – David Mulugheta. So it’s fair to assume that Ramsey would be in the know of the scenario regarding Watson.

Ramsey further went on to draw parallels between Watson’s scenario and his own when he asked to be traded by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“When I was in Jacksonville, they were so mad at me… They probably still hate me because I wanted to put myself in a better situation,” said Ramsey.

“And I feel that’s probably what Deshaun is going through as well. He wants to feel valued. He’s their franchise guy. Especially at quarterback, especially him. Let’s be real. He’s one of the best in the game,” he further added.

As things stand, do you feel the Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson can reach an amicable solution? Or might this be one trade saga that carries into next season?
