Super Bowl games without any controversies are hard to imagine. To continue this everlasting debate of unfair decisions, the Super Bowl LVII match-up between Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles ended on a dramatic note. The last-minute holding call made by the referees provoked the entire Eagles fanbase. NFL analyst Pat McAfee instantly took to social media, calling out the referees and accusing them of robbing a nail-biting overtime encounter.
Incidentally, the Eagles performed toe-to-toe in the last quarter after securing 10 points lead in the first half. Jalen Hurts and Co posted 24 points against the Chiefs’ 14 executing a painful tackle against Patrick Mahomes. However, the KC squad bounced back, adding 24 points in the subsequent quarters. Incidentally, the turning point of the game was a controversial flag raised by the referees that triggered experts like McAfee to react.

In the snippet, one could hear McAfee emphasizing the significance of the moment because less than two minutes were left on the clock. And offering the Chiefs five yards compensation made all the difference. “That ref making that holding call at that time at that stage at that game? Super Bowl ha? That wins the game. Game over,” McAfee said.

It's an incredibly lame way for this game to be decided but can also see a (very slight) jersey tug pic.twitter.com/l7TJjVF2eo

“You know Patrick Mahomes, he throws for more than 2 or 25 yards that entire game we win. Now the Chiefs might win as well. Nonetheless, that’s me being very personal and selfish when I need to say this. Hey, refs can’t f*cking call that there,” he added, explaining the other possibilities, which could have turned the entire landscape.
This incident unfolded when the Chiefs faced a 3rd-and-8 with Mahomes launching a pass toward JuJu Smith-Schuster near the endzone. Unfortunately, the Eagles’ cornerback, James Bradberry, drew a holding penalty while attempting to execute a tackle.
