Former YouTube and Vine star Jake Paul recently visited the home of NFL franchise Dallas Cowboys and has shown a serious interest in playing in the league. The viral boxing sensation has been proving his doubters wrong. He might be looking to grab any chance of playing professional football with both hands. But a recent social media post did leave him vulnerable to criticism about his future ambitions.

Paul took to his Twitter account and posted a short video of him running a route at the Cowboys’ training facility. The youngest of the Paul brothers had sent a tweet on Friday sharing his intent to one day play at the pinnacle of American football.

While Paul did share his excitement in the caption of the post after successfully catching a pass, NFL fans were unconvinced by the footage.

Paul has always been aspiring to play in the NFL, there are many skeptics about his realistic chances. However, the YouTube sensation has been changing people’s thinking after his foray into professional boxing. Despite the unlikely scenario of ever playing in the league, Paul has given his views on which position he would like to play.

NFL Twitter rips into Jake Paul and his future in the NFL

While he dreams of playing in the NFL, the leap into professional football might be too big for Paul. The league is one of the most physically demanding arenas of any American Sports. The possibility of incurring injuries from heavy collisions with players larger than one’s size is high. Jake might want to reconsider switching lanes into the NFL, that demands a different realm of physical toughness.

His brother Logan Paul’s best friend Mike Majlak even questioned the legitimacy of his catch.

Even YouTuber FaZe Sensei points to the fact that Paul did step out of bounds.

One Twitter user was pointing at the lack of resistance from Paul’s blocking defender.

Another Twitter user was boldly comparing Paul with Super Bowl LVI MVP and Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp.

Finally, one Twitter user did ape the lingos used by NFL officials during NFL games, to shut down Paul’s legitimate catch.

Despite his huge fan following and equally high number of critics, Paul shows a determination to prove everyone wrong. But the jump from the sport of boxing to the NFL might be temporary or even a one-and-done stint. However, it cannot be disputed that Paul will bring more fans into stadiums. Some of them will be eager to see how he fares in an actual NFL game.
