Unfortunately for him, the current Coronavirus pandemic has significantly slowed down the Sports activity. Being a free agent his meeting and physicals with prospective teams were limited.
“I know what’s going on in the world. It’s a slow process until teams can see me and see what I got and can give me physicals,” said Clowney. “I’m just waiting on the right opportunity.”
Before concluding his interview, Clowney ensured that he is open for all. “I want to let people know I’m ready, and whoever I sign with is gonna get the best version of me” said Clowney.
Jadeveon Clowney to potentially return to the Seahawks?
Now that he is fully recovered from his core muscle injury, the 27-year-old pass rusher doesn’t rule out on a return to the Seattle Seahawks. In the same interview, Clowney said, “I love Seattle I love everybody on the coaching staff” before adding “I wouldn’t trade those guys in. I hope we can work something out” He reassured that he “did like it up there. I love Russ (Wilson), all the guys I played with. J-Reed (Jarran Reed), all the boys I played with. I respect the guys”

If Seattle settles a contract with him, it would be two potential returns. Veteran running back, Marshawn Lynch is planning on an imminent return to Seahawks. Jadeveon Clowney started his NFL Professional career in a grand fashion. He was the first overall pick in the NFL 2014, after being drafted by Houston Texans. He spent 5 seasons with Texans before getting drafted to Seahawks in the 2019 season. On his very first week, he was able to sack Andy Dalton to help his team win against Bengals. His commendable performance against San Francisco 49ers during the week 10 of the season earned him the NFL Defensive Player of the Week.
Needless to say, Jadeveon Clowney will surely be an asset for any team. As of now, Clowney is one of the hottest free agents in the market. Clowney reportedly declined an offer from the Dolphins for $17 million. He used to ask $20 Million per season. Including the Dolphins, Clowney was approached by 5 teams. It seems as if the SEC Defensive Player of the year might get a good call this year.
