Miami Dolphins ruled out Tua Tagovailoa ahead of the Thursday Night Football fixture. The Samoan hasn’t been in the best of form, having only recently returned from injury. Jacoby Brissett stepped in his place, and the former Patriots and Colts QB put on a great showing against the Ravens.
With a 6-3 lead against Lamar Jackson and Co in the third quarter, the Dolphins began the play with the snap to Brissett, but the offensive line failed to protect him. They literally dissolved and allowed Brissett to get tackled brutally. Upon contact, Brissett screamed in agony as he clutched his knee. All signs point to an incredibly severe injury to his knee.

He immediately left the field, making way for Tua Tagovailoa to return to the squad. Tagovailoa threw 158 yards in two quarters and battled past his finger injury. His performance allowed the Dolphins to overpower the Ravens, who looked simply devastated. Not only did they fail to seal a comeback, but for the first time in many games, they’ve not managed to hit double digits.

The injury is obviously sad news for both the Dolphins and their fans. Many wanted to see Brissett in a big role, and he needs to keep building confidence. As long as Tua remains injured, Brissett can easily fix Miami’s problems. The question that remains is: When will Jacoby Brissett return from injury?
