The 2023 NFL season has finally launched. In a packed Arrowhead Stadium, the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions locked horns. In a surprising move, the Lions roared, beating the champions 21-20. With the triumph, the Lions snapped the Chiefs’ eight-game Week 1 winning streak. It also put an end to Captain Patrick Mahomes‘ streak of winning five straight season openers since starting the games in 2018. Heading into the opening match, the QB had the odds stacked against him. With his favored sidekick, Travis Kelce, staying away owing to injuries and a major piece missing in the lineup in the form of DT Chris Jones, it was a considerable strain on Mahomes.

As Mahomes tries to rebound from the ’embarrassing’ loss, his brother, Jackson Mahomes, shares an update on his Instagram, signaling a return to the public sphere.

Jackson also made a return to his favorite platform, TikTok. He shared a clip of himself grooving in a car to Doja Cat’s latest song, “Paint The Town Red.” As Jackson has fully come out of his shell, he is yet to deal with the legal suits, which have been rescheduled to October.

Jackson awaits the hearing in October

The 23-year-old is battling the lawsuit after being accused of assaulting a 40-year-old Kansas City-area restaurant owner back in February. Three counts of aggravated sexual battery and an additional count of misdemeanor battery were the charges levied against Jackson. He was apprehended back in May and held at the Johnson County Detention Center. Later he was released upon posting a hefty $100,000 bond.
