The 7-time Super Bowl champion has had dream outings against Del Rio in his 17-year tenure in the NFL.

During his career, he has held head coaching positions in Jacksonville, Oakland, and a defensive coordinator position in Denver, but was never able to slow the Buccaneers QB. The Commanders’ DC holds a 1-9 record against Brady throughout his career. It seems to be an easy outing for the former Patriots QB, who recorded 25 TD passes and 1 INT in those 10 games.
Del Rio might feel a shadow of Brady following him everywhere, and his time with the Jaguars might have taken the most toll. The then-Patriots QB Brady outscored coach Del Rio’s Jaguars 59-23 overall during the 2005 and 2007 meetings. But it seems since those crushing defeats early in his career, the now-Commanders DC is making a name for himself.

He has since turned the Burgundy and Gold into one of the elite defenses in the NFL. The second-half defensive performances slowly became their trademarks. They were able to close out most of their games as the time kept ticking away.

Despite Brady’s unreal record against Del Rio, the Commanders DC is known for his defensive setups for many years.
Del Rio will gun for an opportunity to take on Brady again soon as he looks to improve his records.
The upcoming 2022 NFL campaign will be a season that brings a lot of promise for Commanders fans. With the addition of fresh faces this offseason, the Commanders could be a surprise dark horse to reach the NFL playoffs. It will be a challenging season for both Brady and Del Rio looking to show their progress.
