Needless to say, every player would want a positive start to their season. But the Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Jack Conklin is clouded by misfortune. In the season’s first game, Conklin suffered a severe injury which puts his future appearance on the gridiron in the dark.

In the week 1 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Conklin suffered an injury after which he was carted off the field. The 29-year-old offensive tackle, who would be a prime player for the team moving forward, faces a major hurdle with a harrowing injury.

The Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot took to her Twitter account to share the news of Conklin’s injury. Conklin faced a knee injury after Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson fell onto him during a play at the start of the second quarter. Moreover, Kay Cabot emphasized the seriousness of the injury, where the injury looks severe but a solid update is yet to be received.

Sharing the update, she wrote, “Jack Conklin has his hands on helmet…..Cart coming out. Looks serious.” However, analyzing the situation it seems that Conklin’s presence will be uncertain in the coming few weeks for the Browns. 

After Conklin was carted off the field, rookie Dawand Jones replaced him for the Browns. Hence, the clouds of tension surfaced over the Browns camp. With their experienced offensive tackle facing an injury in the very first match of the season, the franchise faces a challenge to fill Conklin’s shoes with the parallel experience.

Favorites, Cleveland Browns had a magical Quarter 4 after a rather slow battle between the two teams. Quarterback Joe Burrow was back at the gridiron after facing a calf injury during the training session. However, Burrow scored 36, whereas the Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson scored 85 yards till the halftime.

As the game progressed, the heart wanted the Bengals to make a comeback. After all, Burrow had the responsibility to live up to his five-year, $275 million contract, which made him the highest-paid NFL player. For now, the Bengals’ longstanding rivals have won the Battle of Ohio in a terrific 24-3 victory over the Bengals.
