Following an early life that saw him being taken in by the Tuohys, his journey to the NFL would earn him a movie depicting his path. But the latest reveals surrounding Oher and the Tuohys have opened some cracks at what was believed to be a happy family.
The Super Bowl XLVII champ has knocked on the court doors to unearth an alleged lie concocted by his adopted family. His claims have brought forward some discontent among the family which has inspired a response from the parents.

Oher is known to be upset which has caused him to take charge of the situation so that he can be heard. In light of the petition and the news rumors murmuring, Oher’s adoptive father has come forward to shed some light. In a recent interview with The Daily Memphian, Sean Tuohy broke his silence and responded to the rumors.

Sean Tuohy said, “We’re devastated… It’s upsetting to think we would make money off any of our children. But we’re going to love Michael at 37 just like we loved him at 16.” The response comes just days after the petition was filed in the courts of Tennessee. The father goes on to talk about the situation in which he joined the family. Sean added, “We contacted lawyers who had told us that we couldn’t adopt over the age of 18. The only thing we could do was to have a conservatorship.”
The former Panthers OT’s petition has brought forward a sour battle that will develop over the months to come. His words have ignited fresh speculation among the NFL community as he alleges that the Tuohys made millions off of him. With the court battle set to unfold, Oher will find himself up against the very people he once called his family.

The former Ravens OT’s petition was filed on August 14th in Shelby County. The 14-page petition highlighted the alleged lies and deceit brought upon him by the Tuohys as he seeks to “end the decades-long scheme” run by them. Following the court petition that seeks to end his conservatorship, the Tuohys have since come forward to refute such claims.
In light of the situation Oher finds himself in, the Tuohys reportedly might have an amicable solution to put an end to things. Although the former Titans OT has since made millions off of his own right, selling a fast-food franchise. He feels hurt by the actions of his family as they allegedly took millions in royalties and added it to their birth children’s accounts.
