Former NFL QB Tom Brady and his retirement announcement have not hit the nail on the head for the fans, one of them being the NFL analyst Mike Florio. He is one such section of an analyst who doesn’t want to dismiss Brady making his comeback. But Florio wasn’t giving just any kind of speculation and believed Brady’s return would be to fulfill a childhood dream.

During a recent Pro Football Talk Live, Florio shared one of his wild take on Brady’s future in the upcoming seasons in the NFL. He takes an interesting approach to give his thoughts on Brady and takes an analogy of a human mid-life crisis.

He classifies his NFL career into three stages divorce, short-term relationship, and late-night text to an old flame. Florio firmly believes the old flame to be the San Francisco 49ers franchise, who are looking for a starting QB.

He states, “I’m telling you, it’s unavoidable. He’s not gonna lower himself to have to dirty himself the way Aaron Rodgers is. He’s gonna work it all behind the scenes. I just…I think he’s gonna be with the 49ers Week 1.” He expresses this scenario to be something he would love to see and something rooting for as the 2022 NFL season kicks off.

Tom Brady to don a Niner jersey?

The possibilities appear infinite in the eyes of the Niners fans who would welcome Brady with open arms. During his early football years growing up in California, the 7-time Super Bowl champion was a Joe Montana fan. The desire to don the red and gold of the 49ers has been something that Brady considered when he entered free agency in 2020.

But it was the San Francisco-based franchise who wanted to stick with QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The aging QB in Tom Brady wasn’t a viable choice at that point in time for the franchise. It was something that Brady was determined to prove wrong going into the 2021 season. He ended up winning his 7th Super Bowl the same year while Garoppolo continued to give less than convincing performances.

While a move for Brady will not be harmful for the organization but will alter their plans for rookie QB Trey Lance. Lance has been waiting for his opportunity to shine while Garoppolo has been disappointing the Niners fans. There remain some important calls that need to be made by the franchise. It can have a significant impact while shaping their immediate and long-term future.
