Gisele Bundchen, the ex-wife of Tom Brady, has been on top of all things professionally since her divorce. The couple separated in October last year after 13 years of marriage. But, it hasn’t always been rainbows in her personal life. The supermodel opened up about her separation’s toll on her health. Along with talking about how the small lifestyle changes, that she implicated in her own life, help heal people in ways they can’t fathom.

The 43-year-old emphasized the importance of holding herself up during tough times. Be it her on-ramp struggles or her personal life, taking care of herself was what worked best for Brady’s ex-wife. Bundchen focused primarily on her body, her nutrition, and her family.

When it comes to letting go, alcohol was the first thing that Gisele ditched for the betterment of her body and mind. And doing that proved to be a significant decision for her, especially after her 40s. Even though society carries the notion that it’s perfectly fine to have a glass of wine, or even say a small amount of it ‘is healthy for you’, the 43-year-old begs to differ.

“I became more clear. I felt a bit more foggy before. Now I’m very sharp and very present and I notice things that I didn’t notice before,” says Gisele while talking to PEOPLE.

Bundchen also revealed that removing alcohol from her life improved her sleep quality. She now focuses on connecting more with her body and being present in the moment.

The philanthropist added that she never misses a day without incorporating some type of workout. It’s either weight training, yoga, or a simple walk for the day. Meditation has also become a life-changing factor in Gisele’s lifestyle that helps her tackle the roller coaster of life.

She even dished on how she works out every day, even in her 40s. It’s safe to say that the iPANEMA owner does it all, even cooking!

Gisele Bundchen releases her debut cookbook

Gisele not only kicked out the toxic alcohol of her life but also focused majorly on improving her body inside out. Following her passion for nutrition, the Brazilian supermodel released her debut cookbook ‘Nourish’.

Bundchen’s kids were one of the major factors that motivated her to improve herself. She and her kids moved to Miami post-divorce. And the Miami sun has been accompanying her on her journey.  “I love the sunshine. Wherever the sun is, I feel like the happiest always,” Gisele opted to homeschool her kids, which keeps her occupied as well.
