In a recent episode of the New Heights Podcast, Eagles center Jason Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs TE brother Travis discussed the new contract of the Eagles QB. Jason could not contain his excitement about his team retaining the young rising QB star, as he and his brother were both exasperated with the amount the Eagles offered Jalen Hurts.
Jason said, “We signed him!! Jalen Hurts is officially locked up!! Big deal!! The highest-paid player in NFL is officially Jalen Hurts. He signed a five-year, $255 million dollar contract with $179 million guaranteed. God damn!! That’s a lot of money. I talked to him right after he signed it. It’s nine digits!!”
The recent contract received by the Eagles QB is one that goes down in the history books of the NFL. He is surely deserving of it, as he has proven his worth and growth with each passing year on the field.
