While making the announcement, David Carr said, “It’s my brother, and he’s gonna go find another job. He’s going to try and play quarterback in the NFL again with another team, and right now it’s a little touchy.” The QB1’s sibling also spoke about Tom Brady, mentioning, “The Raiders will have a new quarterback. Maybe it’s Tom Brady. That was exciting, all right. You guys enjoyed that the other day.”

David Carr gave some information about his brother’s trade situation. Since Derek Carr has a no-trade clause in his contract, he will be involved in the process and select a team where he would like to compete. Additionally, it is also plausible to see Tom Brady head to Las Vegas and join the Raiders.

The pendants bear the numbers 17 and 98, which are the WR and DB’s jersey digits, respectively. Carr may not win a Lombardi Trophy with the Raiders.
