There are not a lot of firsts left in the career of Tom Brady at this point. However, the New York Jets rookie cornerback Brandin Echols had a strange surprise for the QB.
In week 17, Tampa Bay Buccaneers took on the New York Jets. The game was surprisingly a very well and hard-fought one. Both the teams gave it their all. But in the end, Tom Brady got the Buccaneers the win. After the game, the Jets rookie CB came to Brady with a unique item to sign. Echols will for sure keep this memento close.

During the game on Sunday, the young Jets player could intercept one of Tom Brady’s passes. For the cornerback, it was an enormous deal. It’s not every day that you get to stop a seven-time Super Bowl champion. This Interception rewarded the Jets with a field goal. So it is safe to assume that Brandin Echols is very proud of this achievement.
After the game, Echols went to Brady and asked him to sign the ball. TB12 signed the coveted intercepted ball. In the ‘Let’s Go’ podcast with Jim Gray, they talked about the moment. Gray asked Brady about the Interception and the autograph after the match. Jim also asked him if this was the first time someone has asked Brady to sign an interception.
Tom Brady said, “That was the first time,” he adds, “What a nice guy, young player, it’s actually, it’s kinda flattering. It’s not often that I sign an interception ball too. I think that’s the first time.” Even though it was a flattering moment for Brady, this was the last time something like this would ever happen. Terrific Tom then said, “I don’t necessarily like signing my mistakes,” Brady adds, “So that’s the last time I’m gonna do that.” As NFL fans we know Tom Brady doesn’t make mistakes twice. So the season of giving has ended.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a nice run in the past few games. Two weeks ago, against the Miami Dolphins, he managed to get a pick-six. In the New York Jets 26-21 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Echols made five tackles. But his most memorable moment for his season is going to be the Tom Brady interception for sure.
