Episode 8 revealed how Cousins received a late calling at the Honors event and additionally, the organizers requested him to sing at an event. Following the signing gig, Cousins was clouded with anxiety and nervousness until he met the tight end George Kittle’s father on a flight to Phoenix.

Cousins exclaimed, “I saw George Kittle’s dad on my flight to Phoenix, and I brought it up to him,” and Mr. Kittle said, “You know Kirk, it’s good to be uncomfortable.” And I thought, “You know, he’s right,” That resonated with me, so I thought, “I’m gonna be uncomfortable doing this, but that’s okay.”
Following this conversation Cousins added, “And so I got off the flight.
