The Dallas Cowboys lost to the now 4-6 Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys’ defense let a 14-point lead slip and Cowboys defensive linebacker Micah Parsons did not sound happy about it.
The young LB from Penn State was infuriated with the Cowboys’ defense, letting go of a sure win. “It’s going to keep happening until we stop it, period. We could play as much as we could, rush as much as we want, but until we put the flame out of this running the ball stuff, we’re never gonna be as good as we need to be,” Parsons said.
Micah Parsons and the Dallas defense didn’t come through
The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year criticised the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive line for allowing the Packers running backs to run over 200 yards. Green Bay RB Aaron Jones rushed for 138 yards over 24 carries including a 15-yard running touchdown. Fellow running back AJ Dillon also ran for 65 additional yards. Micah Parsons had 7 combined tackles in the game. However, the Dallas Cowboys’ defense didn’t have a single interception against the Packers’ offense and managed to sack A-Rod just twice.

Micah Parson’s frustrations with his defensive colleagues were somewhat justified, since they also undermined the valiant effort of the Dallas offense. Cowboys RB Tony Pollard continued his dominance and ran for 115 yards, including 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Ceedee Lamb also had a terrific night of numbers. The 23-year-old WR had 150 receiving yards with 11 receptions and 2 touchdowns. Those numbers usually win you the game. However, the Dallas defense let Aaron Rodgers march on with the drive and throw 3 touchdowns to rookie Christian Watson.
Micah Parsons also thinks that he is physically more talented than his Packers counterparts and wants the entire defense, including himself, to be accountable for the 31-28 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Young Parsons is critical to Dak Prescott’s Super Bowl dreams
Micah Parsons made the NFL All-Pro first team in his rookie year. That says a lot about the immense talent the young linebacker holds. Parsons has 43 combined tackles this season with 8 sacks to his name.
Micah and Dallas gave up 17 points in the last quarter and overtime. Green Bay Packers came into the game 3-6 and the Cowboys’ defense didn’t see this result coming. Packers coach Matt LaFleur ran the ball with his players and found a hole in the Cowboys’ defense.

The 6-3 Dallas Cowboys have a hill to climb after this loss. They face their in-form divisional rivals, the 8-1 Minnesota Vikings who are just coming off a thrilling comeback win against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Can Micah Parsons and the Dallas defense play the perfect complementary football for Dak Prescott’s offense?
