Cam Newton is a changed man, or at least his hair is. Many remember the 2015 MVP Newton and his clean cut, but over the years Newton traded that for dreadlocks. Newton personally believes that his hair is the reason he is not in the NFL, and even eluded to several people urging him to go back to revisit his past. However, Newton has declined these requests and is embracing his true self.
While Newton believes his appearance to be the sole factor behind his absence from the NFL, a popular podcaster had somewhat opposing views, and Colin Kaepernick somehow landed in the crossfire.

The New England Patriots was Newton’s last stop in the NFL. Since then, Cam Newton has been looking to make an eventual return to the NFL, willing to play backup to a few big-time names, while leaving behind a few. However, Newton is yet to receive a contract. There are several narratives of why Cam Newton found himself out of the league. Let’s face the man is a former MVP, three-time Pro Bowler, and has won the offensive player of the Year, yet no one wants him. However, Jason Whitlock has an explanation.
“The quarterback position is for leaders. Despite all the efforts to emasculate football, the game is still hypermasculine it’s counterproductive to inject a feminized leader with a victim mentality into the quarterback world. Cam is out of the League for the same reason as Colin Kaepernick. Diminished skills made teams reluctant to deal with the victim mindset and obsession with looks.” expressed Whitlock
Whitlock further opined that Newton refusing to talk to members of the media who called out his antics, just makes him look weak. He continued that the 2015 Cam Newton was a resilient warrior, whereas the present-day Newton has given in to the victim mentality and “succumbed to the matriarchal culture promoted across social media.”

The Cam Newton Iceberg
Two years back, the New England Patriots had to make a choice for the ages: Cam Newton or Mac Jones. Soon the Patriots not only leaned towards Jones but waved goodbye to Newton for once and all. The decision soon sent the NFL world into a frenzy as fans and analysts couldn’t help but question the reasoning.
The most obvious reason was Newton’s vaccination status. However, Bill Belichick soon denied these claims and stated that Newton’s vaccination status was not the reason he got released. Additionally, since then Newton clarified that he has received the vaccine and wants to return.

Next, it was the injuries. Cam Newton has a long history of being susceptible to injuries and that is believed to have played a major part. His injuries coupled with inconsistent throwing made teams doubtful of Newton’s reliability, but maybe we will soon see the former MVP return and remind the world of his former glory.
