Cornerback Jalen Ramsey and quarterback Tom Brady are to meet again in the postseason, this time in the Divisional Round, as the Los Angeles Rams prepare to go up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Ramsey has met Brady in the postseason before, but it didn’t go well for the cornerback that time.

The game in question is the 2018 AFC Championship game between New England Patriots and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Patriots won the game by 24-20. And Ramsey was down by 0-1 in his postseason record against Brady. Now as the two players prepare to meet again, Ramsey will make sure that he dominates this one to equalize his record.

Jalen Ramsey praises Tom Brady

“Definitely not going for the same result this time around hopefully,” Ramsey said in the Rich Eisen Show Friday. “Hopefully, we can come out victorious out here with the Rams. So that’s the goal this time. But my experience playing against him is basically what everybody thinks and what everybody has seen from him throughout all of his years playing football.”

Everyone knows how dangerous and effective Brady is during the postseason. He has the ability to handle immense pressure and adversity. He has come back to the game even after trailing the opponent by three three-scores in the second half, during Super Bowl LI. And sometimes he seems to be unstoppable in his approach.

Ramsey on containing the Buccaneers

Jalen Ramsey referring to this lethal form of Brady, said, “He channels a greatness about him. And not only about him but the way he leads his team and makes his team confident. And make everybody around him, feel like they are great as well, is something that I personally think is the most special thing about him. So it’s always tough going against a Tom Brady led team.”

Following this, Rich Eisen went on to mention the receiver crisis going on in the Bucs, and also the great form showcased by Mike Evans. And since Jalen is the cornerback, his job would be to contain Evans. Jalen replied that it will take a “full team effort” to stop the Bucs side from scoring, since it is not just Evans who is scoring in the offense, along with him tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back Leonard Fournette have also had a great season.
