Aaron Rodgers is all set to enter his 15th season in the NFL. He’s about to turn 37 later this year and is gearing up for a crucial season with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers ended his 2019 campaign on a sour note with a dismal outing in the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers. This was A-Rod’s third consecutive loss in the Championship game.
The arrival of Utah State’s Jordan Love will without doubt be a strong catalyst for Aaron Rodgers. At 36, Rodgers is adamant that he can still perform at the highest levels. He even wants to play until he is in his forties. The California-born quarterback has been tipped for a move to a new NFL franchise next season. Can the Packers hold on to their prized asset or is this the ‘last hurrah’ for A-Rod?

Packers great Aaron Rodgers deserved more, suggests Stephen Smith
On a recent segment of ESPN’s First Take, outspoken sports analyst Stephen Smith once again spoke about his dear friend Aaron Rodgers. Smith was asked if Rodgers needs to win another Super Bowl ring before he retires in order to establish himself as one of the ‘greats’. Here’s what he said in response to that.

“Yes, I would because his greatness demands that he has more than he has. It ain’t his fault damn it. I mean a 102.4 passer rating, I think the best in NFL history in terms of when you consider what this man has done over the totality of his career. He’s been nothing short of illustrious,” Smith said.
Stephen further elaborated on Aaron Rodgers’ mistreatment by the Packers organization over the last decade or so, saying, “This brother is elite, he’s all-world, he’s all-time. The level of talent that he has put on display, I’ve said it before and that’s why I say it again, that’s why I came up with it – he’s a bad man, make no mistake and I say that to this day. That’s who he is right now, that’s what he was then.

“It’s a damn shame that the Green Bay Packers have taken him for granted for all of these years. Has never put the talent around him that he deserves and he is worthy of and it’s a crying shame. It’ll be a shame if he has nothing but one Super Bowl ring on his resume…. But it would not be his fault. It would be the fault of the organization for not putting the pieces around him,” Smith added.
