The fashion industry may look like it is all about glitz and glamor. However, Tom Brady‘s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, has a different story to tell. With supermodels being basked in fame and fortune, one might ponder over the lifestyle they live. But there is a dark secret hidden behind these glamorous walls. If you decide to walk into the industry alone, then there might be a possibility of it gobbling you up and eating you alive with nothing but turmoil.
Bündchen, has talked about all those experiences of horror she faced while she was in the industry via her memoir. She recollects the trauma of not being considered a human during her career. So what secrets does taking this path actually hold?

Gisele Bündchen reveals the scarring memory of the runway
The former Victoria’s Secret model did not have it easy in the industry. To rise to the top, she had to face hardships that took a toll on her, both mentally and physically. She recollects one such incident that has left an imprint on her mind forever.

In Bündchen’s memoir, ‘Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life’, she describes how the negative atmosphere in the fashion industry is dark enough to eat you from the inside. She recollects that once while she was getting ready to walk on the ramp of a show, they did not give her a top. Bundchen felt like running away, but she knew she was not going on the ramp without a top.

Bündchen wrote, “I’d be called unprofessional-that is, if casting agents bothered to call me anything at all. But in the end, it was my body, nobody else’s.” Her knight in shining armor who came to her rescue was makeup artist Val. She recollects how Val painted a top on her using white makeup, helping her in any way possible. She told Bündchen that the runway would be dark and no one would notice her not wearing a top. If it wasn’t for Val, Gisele Bündchen states that she might not have walked the runway that day.
