Davante Adams has spent his entire NFL career with the Green Bay Packers. Currently, he’s getting closer to home now, and he’s really looking forward to it. After joining the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams can truly carry out his dreams. The first is to play for the team he used to support as a kid in Northern California, the second is to play in the NFL alongside Derek Carr.

Carr was Davante Adams’ quarterback at Fresno State. Moreover, both the athletes have acknowledged how fantastic it was to do it for another time; at the professional standard frequently.

Davante Adams Achieves his Dream

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Raiders officially introduced WR Davante Adams as their latest edition. Moreover, he truly dressed to impress. The rising contender of the Silver and Black, dressed in a black suit and a black shirt, exhibited happiness as he embraced his new surroundings, which included the realization of a childhood ambition.

The athlete re-calls that he put together a small plan once he got to the stage where it was something that could have been done and not just an idea. He was still in Green Bay, debating what should he do.

He further states his opinion of finally becoming a Raider, mentioning, “I grew up in East Palo Alto. I’ve been a Raiders fan all my life. It was a dream to be a Raider. I said I wanted to be an NFL star, and I was wearing a Charles Woodson jersey at the time. I guess you could say it was meant to be.”

Davante Adams also states that both he and Derek Carr did not “scheme” to get him dealt from the Green Bay Packers towards the Las Vegas Raiders in order to have a homecoming of old Fresno State Bulldogs.

The Packers, who earned the Raiders’ first and second-round picks in this year’s draft, No. 22 and 53 overall, had imposed the $20.14 million franchise tag onto Davante Adams. To play with Las Vegas and have a great former colleague to toss balls to him, Adams inked a five-year, $140 million agreement with $67.5 million guaranteed. As a result, he is the highest-paid wideout in NFL history.

For Adams, joining forces with Derek Carr will be like meeting with a long-lost brother, as Carr began actively wooing him last year. With the combination already a reality, thanks to a stunning deal. Although the transition from back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay to Derek Carr in Las Vegas is enormous, Davante Adams is willing to embrace it.

The immediate goal would be to rebuild the bond which helped them become first and second-round NFL Draft picks in 2014. Rather than pushing themselves towards the next tier, Adams and Carr would attempt to carry their friendship to a Super Bowl appearance in a conference that has gotten fiercely intense in recent decades.
