The whole of the NFL was shocked by the incident with Damar Hamlin. His collapse triggered and reminded the NFL fraternity of the very real fear of life that exists within the sport. There were a number of people who expressed their concern for Hamlin’s unexpected fall on the field against the Bengals. One of the members of the NFL who voiced out his concern was Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones.

Jones was seemingly quite disturbed by the incident. He came onto his local appearance on 105.3 and voiced his concerns. Furthermore, he also spoke about how much love the Bills team has for each other and the solidarity they showed.

The Cowboys’ GM was very concerned after Hamlin was carried off the field. He made his feelings about the outcome of the game very clear and stated that the immediate care went exactly where it should have been. Furthermore, Jones spoke about how the Bills as a whole reacted to the situation.

He said, “It was certainly the most different thing that I’ve ever watched relative just to just the sincere outpouring of interest in Damar’s family’s well-being, and of course Damar.” He spoke about the family-like atmosphere the Bills had created with their concern for one of their own, per AtoZ Sports. Additionally, Jones also mentioned that he has not seen such a fearful on-field incident ever before. The GM was certainly shaken. However, he was not the only one who voiced out their concern and wishes for the young Bills player. Furthermore, NFL stars were also outraged by the way the league handled the situation.

Angry NFL stars

While Jerry Jones spoke about the Bills coming together for the player, other NFL stars angrily expressed their discontent with the league’s actions. Pat McAfee and Aaron Rodgers were among the few who were enraged with the NFL’s handling of the incident. The quarterback spoke on Pat McAfee’s show about the disgusting way the NFL made warm-up calls in the middle of such a scary situation. It is only a matter of time before more prominent figures of the NFL start speaking up.

Jerry Jones himself did not express any discontent. He focused on the way the Bills team aptly reacted to one of their own in such a daunting situation. It is certainly a disturbing incident that occurred and the whole NFL fraternity seems to be holding their breath, praying for the young player’s safe return.
