On February 12, the NFL world witnessed one of the best Super Bowls in recent years, which saw the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in the last seconds. The game also had one of the most iconic halftime performances from pop sensation Rihanna, which garnered plenty of reactions from other celebrities. Despite producing jaw-dropping numbers, TV personality, Megyn Kelly recently called out the NFL for being ‘woke’.
In her podcast show, Kelly called out the Super Bowl for having an ‘all-female flyover’. Then she also showed her displeasure at the ‘Black National Anthem’, which singer Sheryl Lee Ralph sang at the pre-game show.

Notably, Kelly was talking to Rick Leventhal, a former Fox news reporter, in the podcast, where she said, “Can I tell you, like, it wasn’t as bad as it’s been in years past, but it was a woke Super Bowl and it was annoying.“
Speaking about having an all-female flyover, the TV host sarcastically said, “Why did we need the all-female flyover?… Thank you for reminding me that women can be pilots. I didn’t know that.“

On the other hand, Sheryl Lee Ralph sang the ‘Black National Anthem’ before the game. Even though many praised her performance, Kelly criticized the NFL for having two National Anthems. “We had to have the Black National Anthem in addition to the regular national anthem, which is totally divisive. There is no reason to have a Black National Anthem sung before the Super Bowl… But there’s one national anthem. It unites us all. It’s about love of country. There’s no point in dividing us by race, going into something that is already unifying as a country,” Kelly further said.

Later in the podcast, she also took a sly dig at Rihanna for performing in the Super Bowl this year. Notably, Rihanna turned down the offer previously as a protest against NFL’s decision against Colin Kaepernick. Kelly and Leventhal pointed out that thing while taking a dig at her.
