Alvin Kamara defends Michael Thomas
As it was confirmed that Michael Thomas is likely to miss another season due to injury, fans criticized one of the highest paid WRs in the league for his absence. But his teammate Alvin Kamara minced no words in Thomas’ defense. He said that Thomas is an elite player who got hit with some unlucky things.
“It just sucks, you know, to have a player of that caliber, an elite player who works hard and is passionate about the game, and kinda just gets hit with some unlucky things,” Kamara said.
Alvin Kamara didn’t mince words about fans calling out Mike Thomas for being hurt.

“You know I saw a couple of comments in the media about him basically like, ‘you can’t trust him’ or you know ‘he is not being honest about his injury like why he has been waiting till now to be ruled out’. Like man, nobody knows what we go through in here. The masses just see Sunday. You know there is a lot of sh*t we have to go through. So, a player like that is fighting to get back, not only for the team but for the fans and this city. And for people to talk sh*t like that, I mean it irks my soul to see that,” the Saints RB added about the criticism of Thomas.

The All Pro has last played a full season with the Saints back in 2019. In 2020, the wideout played just 7 games and was out due to an ankle injury. He went through a surgery for that and lost the entirety of the 2021 season. In 2022, he played just three games and is now out for the season with a toe injury. And he will have to go through another surgery to fix it.

The criticism faced by Thomas is due to the money that the Saints are paying them. He has just one more season on the contract, but nobody knows if he will play or not. So, a $100 million for just one full season and 10 games in subsequent three years has become the cause of criticism of Thomas. Will he make a grand comeback next season?
