The 7X Super Bowl champion recently retired from professional football back in February. And ever since, he’s been branching out his ventures into various aspects related to sports. Most recently, Brady has gone to agree with Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis to become a minority owner of the NFL team. Once the move is approved by the league, this would be the start of Brady’s ownership journey after being a player in the NFL for over two decades. He recently also took part in a conference hosted by eMerge America where he talked about the process of his own life journey.

While talking about his experience, he urged parents to always support their kids’ dreams, like how his parents supported his dream of playing football. He went on to talk about how the conference that he was speaking in also took time to be where it is today. Brady said, “Everything starts somewhere. It doesn’t start like this. It starts maybe with way less people and then it moves to more people and then before you know it, you’ve got a really great thing going and you want to continue that for a long time. Because you see how it brings people together and it truly changes people’s lives.”

Brady believed in his own process

Tom Brady did not always enjoy the success he had in the NFL. During his college days, he was a backup QB for the team. But this did not deter Brady from pushing himself and continuing to put in the dedication and hard work into his improvement. In his final college season, the coaches put their faith in him as a starting QB, and he did not fail to impress, leading Michigan College to an Orange Bowl victory. Even at the start of his NFL career, Brady was drafted as a 199 overall pick by the New England Patriots as a backup to Drew Bledsoe in 2000. But Brady kept faith in himself and the process and got his chance as a starter when Bledsoe was sidelined with injury. He went on to lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl win.

The NFL GOAT will always be an example for upcoming QBs, a true testament to never giving up and always trusting the process.
