During the Friday episode of the Pat McAfee show, they got together with NFL insider Ian Rapoport to talk about how things will be looking for the new Packers QB1 after Rodger’s exit from the team. Rapoport said that it will be an amazing opportunity for Love to solidify himself as the franchise QB if he can fill the shoes of A-Rod and the legacy he has left behind. Besides the arduous task ahead, he also said that both Rodgers and Love share a healthy relationship between them both on and off the field.
Rapoport said, “Had Aaron come back to Green Bay and told them Hey right after the season I’m all in let’s go, it would have been really hard for Jordan Love. Especially because you know he’s had that sort of a performance where he can be a legitimate starter. I don’t think they would have traded him why would you he would have just had to sit again knowing that he’s ready like that all would have been hard. This is amazing and it did sound like him and Aaron have a good relationship. It sounded like Aaron has helped him kind of along the way.”
It will be the first time in three decades the Packers will have a QB play for them who is not Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers. With the transition set to take place in the team, Jordan Love will have to gear up as the pivotal figure of the system.
A new-generation QB for the Packers
The Packers drafted 24-year-old Love as a first-round pick in 2020. Since then, he has been polishing his game at the quarterback position under the guidance and mentorship of Aaron Rodgers. It is also the final year of his rookie deal with the team. This provides Love with the opportunity to showcase to fans and the team that he is worth the investment for the future of the franchise. Love only has 1 touchdown and 195 yards of passing last season.

Apart from this, both Favre and Rodgers have led the Packers to a Super Bowl title in the NFL. So fans will be expecting the same sort of performance from this new generation of QB talent.
