With the Pro Bowl 2022 in the books, the eyes of the world fall on the Super Bowl. Two teams few expected to go all the way will battle for the Lombardi Trophy. One name synonymous with the Super Bowl is Tom Brady. The GOAT announced his retirement last week, leaving a gaping hole in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, following the Pro Bowl, it seems the Buccaneers have got someone to fill that hole.
Is Russell Wilson Tampa Bay’s answer?

During the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson showed off his precision, setting a new high in Pro Bowl history. During the Pro Bowl, however, Wilson threw two interceptions and had a morbid game. While this would’ve put off many, some still think Russell Wilson could replace Tom Brady at Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers were the #2 seed in the NFC, and entered the Divisional Round after crushing Philadelphia Eagles in the Wildcard Round. Brady and the Bucs ran into a wall in Los Angeles Rams’ defense, who knocked them out of the postseason. This would be the last time we witnessed the GOAT in the NFL.

As for the Seattle Seahawks, their season could not be any worse. Their QB1 suffered a finger injury that kept him out for a while, but things went downhill from there. The Seahawks finished the season with a dismal 7-10 record, lying dead last at the bottom of the NFC West. This led to Russell Wilson changing his stance on his NFL future, and many claim the Seahawks QB is looking for a new challenge.

With Brady gone, Tampa Bay is in urgent needs of reinforcements, and Russell Wilson might just be the perfect replacement. Also in contention is former Bucs QB1 Jameis Winston, who is still injured. Will it be Winston who returns to his previous franchise, or will we see a new face in town, ready to return to his former zenith?
