The reigning Super Bowl champion Odell Beckham Jr. is currently a hot prospect in the free agency market, and there have been several teams on the wishlist that want to acquire this gunslinger. One of the prime landing spots for this veteran is now at Green Bay, along with Aaron Rodgers and Co. However, there is a need to analyze this situation before making vague assumptions because there has been a similar dilemma a few years ago.

Back in 2018, when the three-time Pro Bowler wanted to leave the Giants, Green Bay was speculated as the favorite destination for the wideout. However, fate landed him a gig at Cleveland.

Thereafter, last year, when OBJ was facing a similar dilemma to leave the squad, the Packers were again considered as the prime target, but the Rams swooped in.

Once again, for the third time, this situation arose, and there are several reasons for Beckham not making a deal. First of all, Green Bay is a small market, and being able to make cap adjustments seems improbable.

However, the chances can’t be ruled out because they could accommodate an athlete like Davante Adams. So OBJ became a hot prospect to fill the void and help the side make a deep playoff run.

All these discussions surfaced recently after the veteran tweeted about the excitement of watching Aaron Rodgers take on the Patriots last Sunday. The Packers sealed a thumping victory, and OBJ commented on Rodgers’ effortless gameplay. That’s when SNY personality Chris Williamson suggested that OBJ and Rodgers would make a great team. To which he replied with an exciting tweet.

“Who u tellin’ That’s a different breed right there,” he wrote. Apart from the Packers, OBJ, who is currently recovering from his torn ACL, has been taking a wild tour across the country visiting various training camps. He was even spotted with Tom Brady during their game against the New Orleans Saints.

How did Aaron Rodgers react to the rumors of bringing Odell Beckham Jr. into the squad?

Currently, the Packers are struggling to build a formidable receiver corps because the squad is filled with young athletes. However, they have been impactful in all these weeks, and the results are in front of the fans. Allen Lazard is currently the No. 1 wideout Rodgers is looking after. OBJ’s inclusion would certainly add more colors to this corps.

Well, the veteran seems more than happy and affirmed that if the situation arises, they shall indulge in talks.

“Obviously with a player like that, you’re always hoping there’s a time where you can figure things out and play together,” Rodgers said on the show. A-Rod and OBJ have been long-time friends. The chances of them collaborating are quite high unless a big shark bags the wideout with a lucrative deal.
