Sean Payton had the news rumbling after announcing him stepping away from the New Orleans Saints. However, he did not declare retirement from the sidelines, so are chances of him hitting the sidelines again. Since his hiatus, multiple rumors have spread of him heading to various franchises. “Let’s not bury the lead, shall we? Because you are now in trouble. Sean Payton is going to save my Dallas Cowboys. Happy days are here again I think.” he mentions.

Bayless also takes to Twitter, expressing how the Cowboys could become after Sean Payton’s arrival.

If the rumors turn into reality, then Mike McCarthy might lose his job again. However, Miami Herald reports that Payton might return to the sidelines in 2023, and the Dallas Cowboys are in the lead. However, they have got competition. The Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins could be on the run for the Super Bowl-winning HC.

The Cowboys reached out to Payton via unofficial routes to interest him in moving back to Dallas. But he exploited the positional advantage to wrangle a five-year contract extension with the New Orleans Saints, securing his position through 2024. However, considering the friendship between Payton and Jerry Jones, it makes sense if the management parts ways with Mike McCarthy.
