The Cleveland Browns’ partnership with Baker Mayfield has fallen to pieces. The quarterback doesn’t want to stick with the team, but the organization is reluctant to tune in to the athlete’s desire to leave. An intense situation has taken place, as Undisputed host Skip Bayless raged on the Undisputed broadcast. Shannon Sharpe shouted back. Bayless yelled again during a back-and-forth.
This all happened after the announcement that they might no longer seek Deshaun Watson, a strongly debated Texans quarterback.

Mayfield has a history of biting back at critics, and there’s no better way for an employer to show how they care about a colleague rather than actively looking for a successor. His future looks highly questionable at this moment.
The Browns position provokes Undisputed Hosts
On Thursday morning, the topic shifted during a discussion about Baker Mayfield. Bayless remains optimistic about the quarterback’s abilities while Sharpe appears ready to write him off. However, the discussion went off the tracks when Sharpe questioned his TV partner’s dignity and accused Skip’s love for Baker on his status as a University of Oklahoma product.
“Skip, here’s the problem: The thing that you got and everybody can see is that he’s from Oklahoma and you can’t… are you being a Twitter prisoner again?”

Bayless further inquired, “Can you tell me who everyone is? Who says that? I want to know who says that? Who is it that says that? Reply to my question.” Furthermore, Sharpe cut Bayless off as he tried to use Sam Bradford as an example of an Oklahoma quarterback he didn’t appreciate. He then hollered back, “I’m not talking about Sam Bradford.”

The quarterback was the Browns’ first-round choice in the 2018 Draft, but he got injured in 2021, tested positive for COVID-19. He also received hate from some fans for a confrontation that caused WR Odell Beckham Jr. to leave Cleveland and subsequently join with the current champions, the Los Angeles Rams.
The quarterback’s 2021 stats haven’t been a big breakthrough, as he has a record of 3010 yards, 253 passes, 17 touchdowns, and a QB Record of 6-8-0.

Mayfield can assist a club; it just won’t be with Browns. The Browns had no regrets about securing his fifth-year option in 2022. The Seahawks make logical sense as a legit contender; they have to use it after trading Wilson to the Broncos, and I’ve never felt Seattle coach Pete Carroll is aiming to reconstruct. Depending on how the next week goes, the Colts, Panthers, Raiders, and even Falcons might be good picks.
