Intense Debate Breaks Out On Live TV as Tom Brady & Aaron Donald Are Named Most Dominant At Their Respective Positions

Undoubtedly, Tom Brady has a one-of-a-kind legacy he built in his illustrious 22-year career. But Aaron Donald is also a supreme threat to the offensive. Brady vs. Donald sparked a fiery debate among analysts Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.

The Bleacher Report lists the dominant athletes heading into the 2022 campaign. Among various notable names such as Travis Kelce, Davante Adams, and Jonathan Taylor; Tom Brady and Aaron Donald also bags the position of QB and interior DL, respectively. While one stands out in the accolades, the other has incomparable capabilities.

Sharpe preferred Aaron Donald over Tom Brady

Shannon Sharpe appeared on FS1’s UNDISPUTED show. He discusses who he thought was the comprehensive and the most dominant NFL player in the Bleacher Report’s listing.

“Aaron Donald, and it’s not even close. He’s the most dominant defensive player of his generation. He’s an all-time great at the peak of his powers. Eight seasons in the league, eight Pro Bowls, and seven straight 1st Team All-Pros. How do you get more dominant than that? He’s more dominant at his position than any other NFL player is at their position,” He mentions.

“Let’s just say, for the sake of argument, what they said is correct. Tom Brady is the most dominant quarterback. Is it that much of a gap between Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers? Tom Brady Patrick Mahomes? and Tom Brady and some of these other quarterbacks? Absolutely not. Do not go to Aaron Donald. Can‘t nobody see him? No one can see this man and it’s not even close. That’s how dominant he’s been.”

After Shannon Sharpe lays his opinion, the notion opens for Skip Bayless to give his thoughts on Tom Brady vs. Aaron Donald. A disagreed Bayless calls Sharpe’s opinion ‘haunting’ and loses sleep on his theory over Donald. The DT is the most powerful in his position, according to Shannon. Bayless will grant that to him. Although, his standing is by far and away, not even close to competing with that of TB12.

The legendary TE instantly refutes Skip’s statement, saying despite being a superior player, one may not be as valued when discussing worth. Shannon continues by contrasting Aaron Donald and Dak Prescott to playability. A QB is undoubtedly valuable. But Donald as a DE adds up more dominance. While Bayless tried to justify the value, Sharpe stuck to dominance. And DT Aaron remains his one and only.
