Under the tutelage of former Head Coach Doug Pederson, the Philadelphia Eagles endured a tough outing in 2020. They finished at the bottom of the NFC East behind archrivals Dallas Cowboys.
The Eagles finished with a 4-11 record and coach Pederson was sacked almost immediately after their campaign ended last year.
But the appointment of young HC Nick Sirianni signals the start of a new era in Philly. The emergence of young QB Jalen Hurts and the exit of the misfiring Carson Wentz will keep the Eagles’ faithful happy this offseason.

However, as per recent reports, experienced tight end Zach Ertz could also be on his way out from Philly in the coming months.
Since joining in 2013, Ertz has been one of the core members for the Eagles over the last decade. But maybe he needs a new challenge as well.

NFL insider Mike Garafolo gave the latest surrounding Eagles TE Zach Ertz. He said, “Zach Ertz spent a lot of time on that bench after that final game by himself with the rest of the team in the locker room kind of looking at it.
“And then actually after the locker room came back out with Carson Wentz, and a few other folks, perhaps pondering whether they’ll ever return to that field. Maybe they will.
“We know Carson Wentz won’t return in an Eagles uniform. And I don’t believe that Zach Ertz if he returns will be in an Eagles uniform as well.
“Now he’s got one year left in his contract. He and his agent made a push before this past season for an extension.

“Those talks went nowhere. And so now I believe the Eagles will try to get value back for him now he was part of that talks with the Colts at some point…
“I mean this is a high-volume guy, especially if he was going to Indianapolis to play with Carson Wentz because you know the production will be there.
“There’s a lot of interest in Zach Ertz. I believe that nothing is going to happen until that salary cap is set,” Garafolo said on the show.
