The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing a hot streak, as they won their fifth consecutive game against the Rams on Sunday. Moreover, the Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been in tremendous form this season, which is pivotal for the Chiefs’ success so far in the regular season.

After Sunday’s win, the Chiefs created a unique record, which would make every Chiefs fan really proud. As per the statistics, the Kansas City team has a 26-0 record during November and December games. After the game, Mahomes talked about this record and showed his truly humble nature while praising his team.

Patrick Mahomes talks about the Chiefs’ record-breaking run

During the on-field interview, a reporter asked Mahomes about the Chiefs’ incredible run in November and December, as they won 26 consecutive games. In reply, Mahomes said, It’s game like this. It’s not always going to be great for offense and defense steps up. Special teams make plays when they need to.

“It’s a team game. Coach Reid preaches that our team gets better and better as year goes on,” Mahomes further stated. Notably, the win against the Rams was their 9th win of the season and 5th consecutive.

This season, the Chiefs have only lost 2 games and have one of the best records in either of the conferences. Moreover, they are currently on top of the AFC West division. This Sunday, the Chiefs absolutely destroyed the Rams by 26-10 to put their one foot into the playoffs. Moreover, many are considering the Chiefs one of the favorites to win the whole thing.

Mahomes is also having an MVP-level season

Mahomes is undoubtedly having an MVP-caliber season at the moment. In 11 games so far, he threw 3585 yards with 29 touchdown passes. Despite throwing a horrible interception in the game against the Rams, he still performed at a high level, as he threw 320 yards for one touchdown.

According to him, he could become a father for the second time next week, as his wife Brittany is expecting a baby boy anytime soon. Notably, they already had a daughter named Sterling, who is 1.5 years old.
