A football enthusiast would know what happened with Aaron Rodgers. The buzzing news, the talk of the NFL landscape, and the highly anticipated New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers ended his season due to an injury in the early minutes of the very first match of the 2023 NFL season. Nobody would have thought, that the Rodgers-Jets era would see this end. 

After crumbling in the pain, and going through a stint of successful surgery, A-Rod took to his social media to portray gratefulness for his surgeon. However, there’s a long way to go for his recovery, and his season has officially ended due to the injury, but Rodgers’ thankful gesture is working as a light in the darkness for his admirers.

Dr. Neal ElAttrache an orthopedic surgeon took on the task of curing Rodgers’ torn Achilles tendon. Dr. ElAttrache specializes in sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where his years of collective prowess were used to place Rodgers on the road to recovery.

Rodgers shared an Instagram story to break the news of his successful surgery to his millions of fans, by writing, “Surgery went great yesterday. Thank you for all the love and prayers and support. And thanks to the goat Dr. ElAttrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery.”

After this surgery, Rodgers faces the task of healing himself and getting back on the field again for the upcoming season. As Rodgers’ aim would be to heal, the Jets are equally desperate to fill in the void created by Rodgers’ injury.

The harrowing injury

During the season opener against the Buffalo Bills, Rodgers was tackled by the Bills’ Leonard Floyd, post A-Rod caught the ground succumbing to the pain. After the medical scans, it was revealed that Rodgers’ had torn his Achilles tendon, which would potentially end his season. The Jets won the battle against the Bills, but the pain of Rodgers’ loss overpowered their first victory of the season.

Well, the Jets’ offense will be led by QB1 Zach Wilson. Giving a sigh of relief, Wilson had been performing well during the preseason games, and he was the one who took the team forward after Rodgers’ injury against the Bills. Wilson threw for one touchdown pass, which potentially fueled the Jets victory by 22-16 against the Bills. But still, there’s a long way to go for the Jets. Whatever happens, all the football enthusiasts are eager to watch how the Jets will recalibrate ahead of their next matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
