Ryan Kelly, Indianapolis Colts’ center, and his wife, Emma Kelly, experienced a tragic loss in their 19th week of pregnancy. They held on to their departed daughter, Mary Kate, for the first and last time on 17th December. The whole NFL community mourns their loss.

Ryan Kelly expressed on Twitter a heartfelt note announcing this unfortunate news. And Emma Kelly described her heart-shattering experience on Instagram. She shared in the post that halfway through pregnancy, the baby’s heart stopped for unknown reasons.

Kelly’s wife Emma in an Instagram post revealed that they had lost the baby 19 weeks into pregnancy, so she had to deliver the infant shortly thereafter. She expressed how difficult it was to admit the reality of the situation and part with her the moment they held on to her.

“We can all just show him the love and care that he has for this game,” Colts cornerback Kenny Moore II said. “We can show that same love and care for him off the field. … It just shows that life hits everybody hard at some point along the road. We’re here thinking about Ryan and his family as they go through this tough time.”

Kelly is NFL’s highest-paid center but clearly, yet he has lost the most valuable possession of his life; his daughter before she was even born. Although life has struck him hard, he will find the love and support from his peers in the Colts.

The Colts smashed the Patriots 37-17 during the absence of Kelly. Making it clear that Kelly has got the back of his teammates and that they will be pulling off another victory for Kelly’s daughter.
