Meanwhile, the colts made plenty of changes in the offensive line as they already changed their quarterback, Matt Ryan, in favor of Sam Ehlinger. After suffering another loss against the Commanders, they had to make a decision, and their OC, Brady, suffered the sack.

Later, the head coach of the Colts, Frank Reich, opened up about the firing of Brady. He said, “This was an incredibly hard decision, but one I felt needed to be made in the best interest of the team… I appreciate Marcus’ commitment to the organization, and he made a significant contribution to our offensive success over the last five seasons. I wish him the best moving forward.”

Notably, Brady joined the Colts back in 2018 as an assistant quarterback coach and spent nearly five seasons with the team. In 2019, they promoted him to the quarterback coach before becoming the offensive coordinator in 2021. According to statistics, the Colts have an average of 339.4 total offensive yards per game. Moreover, they average just 87.8 rushing yards per game, the fourth-worst in the league.

A few days back, the coaching team decided to bench their star quarterback Matt Ryan and gave Ehlinger an opportunity. However, that move did not quite work out, as they lost a close game against the Commanders by 17-16.
NFL fans react to Brady’s firing

On the other hand, many fans feel Brady was unlucky to get fired because HC Reich was calling most of the plays.
Do people not realize Frank Reich calls the plays for the Colts. Idk how Marcus Brady got fired

Another fan shared the same sentiment and called out the HC of the Colts.
Fire Reich, not Marcus. Reich is the problem.

Despite their terrible record (3-4-1), the Colts are still in second place in the AFC South division. Their head coach, Reich, is now showing faith in Ehlinger to deliver the goods in crunch time. Next Sunday, the Colts will play the Patriots, which will be a must-win game for them, no doubt. It will be interesting to see if we see a drastic change in their offensive line after the firing of their OC.
