When the Broncos and Rams game came up as the topic of discussion, Pat’s co-hosts brought up Russell Wilson’s disastrous display on the field. Wilson was benched towards the end, giving way to backup QB Brett Rypien. However, McAfee decided to talk about the winning QB Mayfield. “

Russell Wilson will have trouble sleeping after the Broncos took some drastic steps this week
Compared to Baker’s 2 touchdowns, Russell only had one. However, it was the three costly interceptions that gave the game away to the reigning Super Bowl champions. And the 4-11 Denver Broncos didn’t sit around waiting for the magic to strike and took matters into their own hands. Broncos fired their head coach Nathaniel Hackett before he could finish his first season with Broncos Nation. And that certainly is the cause for concern for Russell Wilson.
“We went in with this mindset that we were going to be able to win this game, but in the end, we weren’t ready. That was a bad game. That was embarrassing.” Hackett said after the unacceptable loss to a struggling LA Rams. And this interview was probably the last nail in the Hackett coffin. Things can’t get worse for Danger Russ at the moment as the Broncos continue their search for their next head coach.
