The end of October not only marks Halloween. November 1st is also the deadline day for NFL trades. This time it was the busiest deadline day in NFL history, with 10 trades taking place. The Broncos acquired a 2023 first-round pick, a 2024 fourth-round pick, and also RB Chase Edmonds in the process. Along with the blockbuster linebacker, Miami also gets a fifth-round pick for the 2025 draft.
Bradley Chubb moves base
The Broncos drafted Chubb in the first-round of the 2018 draft. Since then, he has been one of the most-priced additions to the Denver outfit. The Broncos cashed out on their star linebacker as they look to vacate spots and secure draft picks to rebuild for the future. As the NFL witnessed this deadline-day transaction, social media went into quite a frenzy.
Popular NFL reporter Don Kleiman alluded to the poor run of the Broncos this year and cited this as another L for them. He said:
This Broncos season certainly didn't go as they expected but this is a big boost for Miami.

Another popular ESPN reporter shared his expertise as he thinks this move strengthens the Miami squad and makes them a competitive force for the remainder of the season.
Dolphins are dangerous.

An avid fan weighed in on this trade by calling the Miami franchise a bad team. He doesn’t rate them to be much better even after the trade, but thinks it was poor business to give away a first-round pick.
This is what bad teams do. Dolphins have no chance beating ravens chiefs bills on the road but now waste a first round pick

In a dig at Broncos QB, a fan comically tweeted about the recent activities that occurred on their plane ride. He felt happy for the new Dolphins man, as he is now free from any of Wilson’s shenanigans.

From reactions, it looks like there’s only one winner of this deal and that’s the guys down south in Florida. However, the Broncos have a long-term plan that they prefer to stick to, instead of trying to turn around their fortune mid-season.
All good things must come to an end
Bradley Chubb would be an enhancement to any NFL squad. Fortunately for the Dolphins, he’s going to be putting on their threads. Chubb’s teammates feel the loss of the departure of their teammates as they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
I understand “it’s a business”. We ALL get it. We get asked to buy in and care about the organization we work/play for no matter the outcome of our situations. And this one hurts my heart like no other. Gameday won’t feel the same without my G @astronaut https://t.co/38Fi4fpEJs

Broncos man Nik Bonitto also shared how Chubb was instrumental for him since day 1. He mentioned, “This one hurt” in his tweet.
These tweets from his ex-teammates only go on to show what a personality he is on and off the field. The Dolphins may miss out on future prospects, but they definitely have what it takes to be an enforcing squad and sometimes that’s what’s important.

The Broncos Twitter handle also shared a farewell video for the guy they had acquired with a 5th overall pick in the 2018 draft.
Though fans expected the Broncos to make a statement deal that went their way on deadline day, it is important for them to stay patient. They have acquired defensive end Jacob Martin from the Jets along with running back Chase Edmonds. Only time will tell who the real winner of this deadline-day trade really is.
