Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pushed hard to clinch the NFC South. Despite having a less-than-spectacular year, the Bucs have managed to snag a seat in the postseason. To imagine, the NFL world came dangerously close to having a postseason without Brady. The Bucs beat the Panthers 30-24, coming back from a 14-point deficit. However, Brady did not look his best in the post-game presser.

Although their face-off was far from perpetual dominance, Brady will be glad for the win. But, during the QB’s post-game press conference, there was something off about Brady. Yet, the passion with which he spoke alongside his appreciation for the team quelled the issue.

Tom Brady is unphased by the sudden change

While it can be easy to forget, Tom Brady is not a superhuman. Like everyone else, the QB succumbs to fatigue. For the most part of the season, the NFL world has placed the QB under a microscope. As a seven-time Super Bowl champion, the bar is set higher for TB12.

But, the success of the team cannot and should not be hinged on a specific individual’s abilities. In the press conference post the Bucs’ victory over the Carolina Panthers, Brady’s voice sounded gruff. TB12 did not sound like he usually does. Perhaps it was the stress of the action-packed game that caused the change, or maybe the QB was exercising his vocal cords a little too much during the huddle. Despite this little hitch, the QB confidently addressed all questions thrown at him.

Brady and the Bucs have an uphill climb ahead of them

Brady was generous in his praise for his teammates and coaches. He also had special words for Mike Evans. The QB and receiver seemingly rekindled their connection, something that was evading them over the last few games. Evans found the end zone thrice.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken the first step by reaching the postseason. Even though Brady and his squad have a long way to go, the reassurance of being in the playoffs despite their poor performance this season is a good feeling. TB12 has his goals set in the new year. Bucs fans will hope that their QB and team find some of their former magic in the upcoming games.
