Raiders QB Derek Carr looked absolutely devastated after the loss against the Rams on Thursday Night Football. Notably, Carr had a pretty poor game against the Rams; on the other hand, Baker Mayfield played one of his best games of the season as a Rams player for the first time. After the game, Carr praised the 27-year-old quarterback for his amazing performance.

Notably, Carr has not had a great time this season with the Raiders, as their team is also performing miserably. Many fans and experts blamed the QB for the team’s poor performances. On the other hand, Mayfield also had a poor season with the Panthers; however, he turned it around in a single game after joining LA.

After the game against the Rams, Carr spoke to the reporters and said, “It’s tough, but it’s the NFL. These are professionals. There’s really cool stories and cool moments for some guys, and I’m sure Baker (Mayfield) will love that moment for the rest of his life.”

The Vegas QB also looked impressed by Mayfield, as he signed with the Rams just a few days ago. Speaking about it, he said, “It’s professional football, you’re going to get everybody’s best no matter who’s playing.”
Notably, Carr made 2 interceptions in that game against the Rams, which ultimately hurt their team. Throughout the season, he made a total of 10 interceptions in 13 games with a 62% completion rate. Apart from that, the shot caller also threw 3117 yards for 20 touchdowns. Unfortunately, the Raiders are in the third position in the AFC West division and are pretty much out of playoff contention.

Last season’s Super Bowl champions are possibly looking forward to the next season
Meanwhile, the Rams, 2021-22 Super Bowl champions, had a pretty poor season, as they won only 4 games out of 13 this season. After their star QB Matthew Stafford suffered a season-ending injury, they signed Mayfield for the rest of the season.
Certainly, he has shown his capabilities in his very first game against the Raiders. Under his leadership, the Rams made a solid comeback against Las Vegas in the fourth quarter; before that, they were losing the game by 3-16. Then, his last-second touchdown pass to wide receiver Van Jefferson sealed the game for the Rams. Mayfield suffered a lot of criticism from fans and experts earlier this season; however, all that changed after his amazing display against the Las Vegas side.
